Summary

OCR'ed documents imported through a LaserFiche briefcase would lose track of word locations on the image, therefore search hits would not appear on an image. However, they would appear for the text view of the document.

Resolution

Install LaserFiche Client, Desktop, Executive, Intuition, MinuteFile, Notebook, Personal Edition, Plus, or Viewer version 6.03 or higher.

Network Installations: Install LaserFiche Server version 6.03 or higher.

More Information

Before documents imported through a briefcase can be searched, they will need to be reindexed. Indexing can be performed on a per document basis through the OCR & Index dialog box or you may reindex text through the Reindex Documents dialog box.

This issue was initially fixed in version 6.01.
